TOYCON 2019 Part 1: Toys and Displays

Now that we're in, time to get lots toy pictures from lots of booths and displays. By the way, this year, we made a quick tour at the event so I missed a lot of stuff.

Oh yeah, I forgot. There are some cool display at the entrance before you get in.

Wow, Ravelo Komiks Universe! Does that mean they're making MCU/DCEU-like movie/TV series for our beloved Filipino superheroes?

They have large-scale statues of the three well-known Filipino superheroes. From left to right: Lastikman, Darna and Captain Barbel. They have more to show at their booth inside.

Next up is the Pinoy LUG display, also located at the entrance. Their theme this year is about Marvel, specifically the MCU.

That's a very nice display of Marvel LEGO sets and some of them are MOCs.

The Nano Gauntlet is the centerpiece of the display along with the first Arc Reactor MOC and Starlord's mixtape and cassette player MOC.

Whoa! It's really cramped inside and can't get a wide shot of the place. So many people and booths and toys! Huh, Jollibee is here. I guess they're one of the sponsors of this event. They even have a collaboration with Funko and have a Jollibee Funko Pop toy.

SCAPH is here again this year. It looks like they have a few statues to display this year.

Or they have more to display and they're not yet finished prepping the booth.

What's cool is that they have a life-size "bronze" statue of Manny Pacquiao.

They also have some cool statues big and small of Combatron, one of our childhood Filipino superheroes. Combatron is part of the classic Pilipino Funny Komiks comicbook series. If you're a 90's kid, you probably know this guy.

We made a quick pass at Filbar's booth. As usual they have lots of Hot Toys action figures on display and for sale.

They focused on the MCU this year and that Nano Gauntlet looks amazing. By the way they also have Ronin on display with Iron Man in this picture.

This is the Ravelo Komiks Universe booth. They have lots in display like the three different statues of Darna.

They're all made by Halimaw! Sculptures. This one shows Darna hovering/flying in the sky.

Darna doing a warcry. It looks awesome.

I like all of Darna's statues but this is the one I like the most. She's holding a Philippine flag while doing an epic superhero pose. Sadly there are no large statues of Captain Barbel of Lastikman on display.

Hey, they got 1:12 scale action figures!

Wait. Those sculps look familiar. Are these custom Marvel Legends action figures to look like Filipino Superheroes? Anyway Captain Barbel looks amazing and have a cool display base.

Lastikman looks amazing too. Yup looks like they're custom Marvel Legends figs alright. I know that shoulder joint design.

I don't know if this is an action figure but it looks cool too. I forgot the name of this villain. I think it's Valentina?

They also have a Darna action figure too. And probably custom-made too and using a figma stand. And the face sculpt, design and paitwork looks similar to the Filipino toy modder that I've been following. I want one of the action figures on display here.

Good Smile Company is present again this year, but they have a small display.

They have Harry Potter Nendoroids and a nice figure of a cute anime girl.

Wow they even have Bleach, Cardcaptor Sakura and KonoSuba Nendoroid figures. I'm not familiar with the one figure that displayed higher than the three, I think this guy is from My Hero Academia? I don't know much of present anime.

Even though GSC have small display this year, they have lots of toys for sale: figma, Nendoroids figurines etc. I don't know D.Va from Overwatch is now available for sale! I want D.Va, Persona 5 Hero and Kizuna AI figma action figures.

Now let's go to the Kotobukiya booth. Lots of figures and model kits on display and for sale, but some of them are just for display like these awesome Avengeres figurines.

Black Widow looks cool while hitting an Ultron drone. In this set she is joined by Vision and Hawkeye and I forgot to take their pics, sorry.

Assorted Kotobukiya figures on display.

I took this pic because I like the figure's colors. I don't know which anime this character is from but I guess she's a pilot of some sorts? Probably a mech?

Nice! a cool "Bronze" Darth Vader mini statue and it's an exclusive. What do they mean "exclusive"? Exclusive for the ToyCon PH 2019 event?

Wow! The grey protoypes from Legendary Beast's XM series from last year are finally painted and have a price!

These large figures looks really amazing but really expensive, like it's going to kill you're wallet. Captain America looking epic in that normal standing hero pose.

This new Spiderman statue is new to me and it's already painted. Nice exploding effects on the background.

This Juggernaut statue is my most favorite. Just look at that destruction caused by him. He wrecked Xavier's school for mutants.

I only heard about this Be@rbrick figures from my office mate. They look cute but expensive. I heard a Filipino celebrity collects these stuff.

They have lots of popular characters made in to Be@rbrick figures.

Look they even have Steamboat Wily Mickey Mouse and Spongebob Squarepants in Be@rbrick form,

This is a random shot of an exclusive figurine of fat McDonald that have a Philippine flag suit.

What happened to you, Ryu!? I know you have an evil side but not a creepy smiley side.

Lastly ToyCon PH 2019 have a huge 22 ft. amazing statue of Batman. This is unvailed here first! This is an Imperial Palace Batman (also looks similar to Batman Ninja). This is made possible by the collaboration between DC with Pop Life and China's Imperial Palace Archives. You probably want that, didn't you?

Lucky for you, you can buy a smaller scale of the Imperial Palace Batman and it looks like this is a ToyCon PH 2019 exclusive. I didn't ask for its price, but it looks expensive. I also don't know if this is articulated or just a static figure.

This concludes Part 1. There are more toys and stuff to cover so stay tuned for Part 2.

Cheers and Happy Collecting.
