Tim Lambesis, the vocalist of the Christian metalcore band called As I Lay Dying is facing 9 years in prison for attempted murder of his ex-wife by hiring a hitman. Lambesis plead not guilty.
According to different sources: Labesis hired a hitman who is an undercover cop to kill his ex-wife. He paid a down-payment of $1000 and will fully pay a total of $20,000 if the job gets done. The sting operation started when the trainer at Lambesis' gym reported to the police that Lambesis said that he wanted to finish his wife during his confession.
Lambesis plead not guilty, his reason is that he's being set-up by the gym trainer. They say that the main motives are: nasty divorce and Lambesis' use of steroids. He paid a bail and he's temporarily free. The authorities placed a GPS tracking device on Lambesis. He will be arraigned on October 22, 2013 under the charge of solicitation for murder.
Lambesis and his ex-wife were married in 2004 and have 3 adopted children.
I've been listening to this band during my college days and still listening to them up to this day. We also covered most of their songs. They're awesome and one of the inspirational bands of this generation. It's sad to hear that this may be the end for As I Lay Dying.
