Small Dinner Party at Shima

We had a sudden small dinner party with friends at Shima. Shima is a Japanese Restaurant located at B.F. Homes, Parañaque City.

I'm already feeling the authentic Japanese vibe of the place while going inside.

At the door, we are greeted by a cute anime girl standee. She must be the mascot of the restaurant.

Inside is the shushi bar and the counter. It feels like home, well probably because we are the only customers at that time (still early for dinner). The chefs and crew are nice.

I saw some pictures showing an old Japanese man, he's probably the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Shima or Shima-san.

We got a look at the selection of foods in the menu. They got sashimi, sushi rolls, yakiniku and donburi.

They also have ramen. The menu have lots of food to choose from. The prices are reasonable because the servings are kinda large.

Look at all the food! I'm so hungry!

Me and my wife ordered Shoyu Ramen. The serving is large so we both shared the ramen. This ramen tastes good. The noodles are kinda thick almost like an udon. I got a couple of sliced meat, two eggs and the veggies plenty which is nice.

Our two friends ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. They also shared their bowl with each other. I want to try this next time we visit here.

We also ordered Chicken Yakiniku, also to share. I really like this dish because the chicken with sauce tastes really good and not really salty, like a "balanced taste and flavor".

And now the sushi plate. Wow so many sushi and they're the largest set of sushi that I've seen and eaten. Because there are shrimp and crab in some of the sushi. I didn't eat much of them because I'm allergic to shrimp and crab. I mostly ate those with cheese and salmon. I tried all of the sushi and they all tastes amazing! They're a little heavy too.

Our eating experience at Shima is great. I want to come back here to try their other dishes. Gotta try those rice bowls and Tantanmen.

Cheers!
