[Toy Review] MODERNIA - NIKKE Noodle Stopper Figure

First toy review of the year! Finally, something to review, let's go! What I got here is a Noodle Stopper Figure (NSF) from FuRyu and it's Modernia or Marian (spoilers!) from the mobile gacha game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. This is her First Affection skin that the players got for free because she won the NIKKE Popularity Contest.

PACKAGING

Box front

This is a blind box, no window(s) to view the figure. The box is bright and the design is similar to Modernia's burst animation in the game. The front shows a close up shot of Modernia. The left side shows the back shot.

Box back

The back of the box shows the full view of the figure and the side shows an angled shot but blocked by a paper plastered on the box, that I find hard to remove without ruining the box.

THE FIGURE

Figure front view

This is my first noodle stopper figure and my initial impression is that this small-scale figure have a bit of weight and really solid. This figure can also be used as paperweight, kinda useful and this will look good on your home office desk.

I said home office desk specifically because this is a kinda NSFW figure.

Don't place this on your office desk at work, someone or your co-worker might steal it.

Anyway, this figure looks great and sexy. The pose is not the same as seen in Modernia's burst animation in the game but it's intentional, it's meant to sit on top of your cup noodles that's why it's on a crawling/kneeling position.

Front shot closer look

Modernia's face looks great and nicely painted. I really can't complain much because it's very accurate and it looks the same as seen in the box's photos.

Right angle shot

Her face have that cute smile. Too bad that her Commander Doll is missing to complete the look.

Viewing this figure is nice. It may be a semi-NSFW figure but it looks nice and kinda relaxing to look at probably because of her "sleepy time" or "just woke up" look.

Hair clips

Modernia got a pair of glossy triangular cyber hair clips kinda reminds me of those that those kids wear from Evangelion. It's solid because I accidentally dropped this figure head first and they didn't got chipped off the figure.

Bandages and a ribbon knot.

The white bands on Modernia's head are bandages. They're tied together by a yellow ribbon. The yellow ribbon have four white stripes at the end.

Modernia's silver hair.

The hair looks nice. There are fewer sculpted strands of hair and few shadings but it's okay.

She's wearing the Commander's white shirt.

The white shirt that Modernia's wearing is from the Commander (that's us, the player MC) You've got to play the game and watch the First Affection side story to know why she's wearing the Commander's shirt. It's wholesome.

Cute undies.

The shirt is translucent and you can see that Modernia is "naked" underneath but she wears her panties with a nice dragon or cat-looking print at the back.

Traslucent plastic light test.

I shined a light behind the figure to see how translucent the shirt is. If you look at the arm you will see that the arms are not fully sculpted underneath.

Modernia's hands.

The hands looks nice. There are fingernails sculpted on the fingers.

Modernia's legs

The legs looks good too with some shadings.

Feet so clean and soft-looking.

Both feet looks soft. They're nicely sculpted too.

Here's some side angle shot of Modernia. Yep she looks really nice.

I don't have any cup noodle at home so I coudn't test if this Modernia figure can be placed on top without the lid giving in because of the figure's weight. I'll update this post once I got some cup noodles.

SCALING

Let's compare the size of the Noodle Stopper Figure (NSF) of Modernia next to some of the toys in my collection.

Two poweful Nikkes.

Here's Modernia next to my bootleg Alice figure. I think the NSF Modernia is a 1:10 scale figure.

"Lost Child" and a "Former Heretic".

The Tatsumaki Espresto figure not looking a lost child in this picture because she is obviously taller than Modernia.

Panther and Modernia.

Figma Panther is a small figure, body proportion-wise next to Modernia. Modernia only looks short because of her pose.

Saber Altria and Modernia.

QUALITY ISSUES

No quality issues on this figure. This figure is solid and durable.

CONCLUSION

The FuRyu Noodle Stopper figure of Modernia is a great little static figure. It got a couple of uses: obviously as a noodle stopper and a paper weight. It's aesthetically pleasing to look at on the desk. It's a cheap figure too. I bought it online with a discount. Retail stores sell it a bit more expensive. I definitely recommend this figure if you're a fan of NIKKE like yours trully and you're looking for a cheap NIKKE figure to display. Most NIKKE figures are really expensive. I'm looking forward to getting more NIKKE Noodle Stopper figures in the future.
