The box is windowed-type, in front going to the left side, you see Lucio's artwork. The figure and its accessories can already be seen through the box's viewing window. The same artwork of Lucio plus his info (which is covered by the distributor stickers) can also be seen at the back . You can also see the other characters included in the first wave at the back.
Once again Hasbro did a good job on making this action figure, well when it comes to the action figure's look.

Viewing Lucio at four sides. |
Lucio looks good. His colors reminds me of Brazil. Based on how he looks, I think he likes music and he looks like a combination of the guy from Jet Set Radio and Slash from Quake 3/Champions. Yeah, his arms are wide spread by default because of the chest and backpack.
|
He looks pretty chill. |
The face is accurate to the in-game model of Lucio, I don't see any problems on the face sculpt. His hair looks good. The paintjob on the head is great. I found something weird though, the side of the neck have a small but very noticeable gap.
|
Nice shades. |
Lucio is wearing a visor, kinda similar to Tracer. It's made of soft transparent green plastic and it connects to his left ear character design-wise. The yellow earpiece of the visor looks good but overly painted. I can feel the thick paint applied on it.
|
Those set of dreadlocks looks heavy. |
Lucio have a very long and thick set of dreadlocks that are nicely painted and have that hue transition from black to ash blonde-ish. There are yellow things at the end of the dreadlocks. According to the wiki, they're all speakers.
|
Nice apple green tank top. |
Lucio is wearing a green two-toned tank top. It looks pretty basic but they added some texturing on the darker green part. The top also have a print that looks like a frog wearing headphones.
|
Lucio's Backpack |
He got a yellow backpack. It looks good sculpt-wise and it's a separate piece, I think it's removable. What I don't like on this backpack is that it's overly painted on the yellow parts, probably because they used black plastic to make the backpack making it difficult to paint it with other colors, that's why the yellow paint is really thick and they're chipping off. I like the silver part though.
|
Right arm.
See the peg hole? |
Both arms looks nice. The right arm have a band on the bicep that have a peg hole where you connect Lucio's weapon, which you'll see later.
|
Left arm.
Nice tattoo. |
The left arm have a tattoo on the bicep. The hands looks weird on the fingers because of the skin tone, they're not painted with bluish paint which some parts of the gloves lacks.
|
These cords look like stylish belts for Lucio. |
There are two soft cords on Lucio's waist. The yellow one is smooth while the black have some braided-like design on it. They are part of the waist, not separate pieces.
|
Robotic legs (front) |
Lucio's lower half is robotic. Did something happen on his legs or this is just his armor. The legs got lots of colors, the "underarmor" have silver and gunmetal colors while its armor plating is blue and green on the knees.
|
Robotic legs (back) |
Anyway these legs looks cool but very bulky and might limit some of the articulations, more on that later.
|
I want some of those. |
The feet have these ice skates but instead of a normal blade, it got lights or lasers, I also think they're hover skates. They look really cool and the light/laser part is made of transparent green plastic. Even with these skates, Lucio can stand pretty well.
ACCESSORIES
Lucio have the standard stuff. He got his weapon, effects for his skates and two extra right hands.
|
That's really few |
While these are good stuff for Lucio, they're few. He could use some more hands that will help him with his poses.
|
Sonic Amplifier |
The Sonic Amplifier is Lucio's weapon of choice. It's a gun that have a huge subwoofer. It looks really good and it's painted well.
|
Cord attached to Lucio's bicep. |
The gun got a green cord that connects to Lucio's right bicep. It tends to getting removed while posing the figure, but it doesn't limit the right arm's articulations which is nice.
|
Trailing green skate lights. |
These two green trailing energy effects can be equipped under Lucio's skates. They're made of soft translucent green plastic and can also serve as a display base. They might look the same, but they have slightly different sculpts.
|
Extra hands |
Lucio got two extra hands that both are used for just poses. The styled right hand have some uses than the right fist. Like the default hands, the extra hands lacks some bluish and yellow paint.
ARTICULATIONS
|
Calling his allies. |
While Lucio have a very cool character design. That design might limit some of the action figure's articulation points.
|
Seeing an enemy from above. |
The head is on a hinged ball-peg. I can look up really high and really far down. It can also look side to side and it tilts a bit for a little attitude. The dreadlocks can swivel and it's removable.
|
Pointing his Sonic Amplifier. |
The arms can fully rotate and can raise sidewards under 90 degrees. Both arms have bicep swivel.
|
Just skatin'. |
The elbows are on a double hinge and have a really nice bending range which is cool.
|
"See ya!" |
The wrists can swivel and the hands have a hinge for more hand posability.
|
Gunning and skating. |
The chest on my Lucio figure is a little loose but can still hold its pose. It can turn side to side, twist really well, It can go forward and back really well too.
|
My attempt at pulling off one of Lucio's poses. |
The ab crunch works well it expands the movement range of the torso and it looks good too when you pose it. No waist joint or swivel on the figure.
|
Another cool Lucio pose, the only difference is that he holds his weapon. |
Both legs can raise up forward but it's raises on an angle. They can also go really far to the back.
|
Lucio Kick! |
The legs can also raise side-wards really high, Lucio can pull off some high kicks. Both legs have a nicely hidden thigh swivel, cool.
|
Twisting back dive. |
The knees is on a single hinge and have a small range of motion. The design of the legs makes it easier to make the knees on a double hinge but Hasbro didn't do it, I don't know why.
|
Aiming at the airborne enemy. |
The feet also have a small range of motion. They can point up well but pointing down is almost non-existent.
|
"Hoo! Jackpot!" |
The feet can also pivot but on a weird angle making it look weird.
SCALING
Time to compare Lucio's height/scale. This is my 2nd Overwatch Ultimates action figure so I have him standing beside my other OU figure, Tracer.
|
Tracer and Lucio. |
Thanks to the skates, Lucio is taller than
Tracer, I think they have the same height if he's not wearing his skates.
QUALITY ISSUES
|
That's thicc in a wrong way. |
The only quality issue that I found is all about paint. This is the first time that I encountered an action figure with thick paint applied on to the point the paint is sticking or chipping off. Some parts also lacks paint but hey this is a cheap action figure.
CONCLUSION
Despite the lack of articulation in the lower parts, the thick paint job and lack of paint in some parts. This Overwatch Ultimates action figure of Lucio is pretty solid. I really like it. I had fun posing him even with those limited articulations. The character design looks really good and the figure is nice to look at especially with other Overwatch characters. This Lucio figure is a nice addition to my collection and it's pretty cheap so I recommend that you get it too, especially if you're an Overwatch fan.
Cheers and Happy Collecting!
