The official photos of the new Play Arts Kai action figure of Lightning have been released. This is not a Final Fantasy XIII version, this is the Dissidia version and here are my thoughts on this figure.

We saw this action figure along with the other new PAK figures that SQEX revealed during the SDCC 2017 event. It already looks really good from the pictures, but it looks even better in these official photos. It's already obvious that this is far more superior than the old FFXIII version.

I thought the cape is made of real cloth material, sadly it's made of plastic, probably a soft and flexible one. From the looks of it, it seems that SQEX really ditched the shoulder ball hinges and uses a new and kind-of old-school shoulder articulation that we've seen in Cindy and Lunafreya PAK figures.
For accessories, Lightning have her Blazefire saber in two separate forms: sword and gun form. There's an extra grip for the saber, I'm guessing that you swap this from the saber's gun form then store it on Lightning's holster. Lightning also have a right gripping hand and right trigger hand for the Blazefire saber's sword and gun form respectively. There's another extra open left hand too.
Now for this toy's price: it's around $132.00 (approx Php.6,800.00)... it's painfully expensive. While I'm already happy with my FFXIII-2 Lightning and LR:FFXIII Lightning, I'm still gonna save up and buy this to complete my Lightning version collection. Pre-orders are now up and January 2018 is the release window of the Dissidia NT/Arcade Lightning PAK.
