So I Watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Well I watched another superhero movie last weekend and it's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. As the name suggests, this movie is a sequel to GotG and like the first title, Vol 2 is still fun to watch and it's full of laughs.

I guess you don't need to watch the first movie to enjoy this one because, except of the infinity stone being mentioned, no other characters like Ironman, Captain America or Thor appeared in this movie... oh Thanos isn't present in this movie, but he's mentioned a bit. Still, I prefer that you watch the first movie to know more about the characters.

The movie starts as the team fights a space octopus-dinosaur thing while baby Groot is dancing to the tunes as the opening credits roll. That scene is fun to watch. They were fighting the space monster to protect the batteries of the Sovereign (a race of gold-skinned people) by the request of the High-Priestess Ayesha. Rocket Racoon stole some batteries which makes Ayesha furious so in response, the Sovereign drone fleet chased the Guardians to eliminate them but failed. So she hired Yondu and the Ravagers to finish the job. 

Almost every scene in this movie are funny and awesome at the same time, like how the Sovereign pilot the remote controlled drones which have an 80's video game sound effects. There are lots of witty comebacks during arguments. Drax laughs a lot in this movie and have some funny awkward scenes with Star-Lord and Mantis. Also there are lots of cameos here like, as usual, Stan Lee with the Watchers.

There is one scene in the movie that missed the opportunity to include the Avengers or any characters to tie this movie more in the MCU.

Being a movie that takes place in outer space, the movie heavily uses special effects. The effects looks great, they're too colorful but easy to the eye.

Just like the first movie, the music selection that includes classic songs which is great.

In my opinion Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is much better than the prequel, because its story have some mystery and twists in it and it's focused on the main characters. The fight scenes, the graphical and sound effects are great. I definitely recommend this movie especially if you guys watched almost all MCU movies. Oh yeah stay a while after the movie ends, because it got three post-main story scenes.
