This is a big surprise from Square-Enix. They revealed the new Play Arts Shin action figure of Zidane Tribal from Final Fantasy IX. Here are some of its official photos.
I never thought SQEX would make a new action figure of Zidane. He only got a couple of action figure, a classic Play Arts version and a Bring Arts figure. Why would they make a Play Arts Shin version. My theory, FF9 Remake or just celebrating the game's 15th birthday.
Anyway, this Zidane action figure looks great! Probably this is going to be my first PAS figure. Good thing I didn't get the Bring Arts version.
I think the articulation of this figure is at par with the newer Play Arts Kai or Shin action figures. I'm also guessing that this figure is on a shorter side because of character design and game aesthetic.
For accessories, Zidane got the basic stuff. He got his dual Mage Mashers and a dagger. For interchangeable accessories, he got an alternative screaming/attacking face, a tail and a total of six extra hands. He also got an eye adjustment tool.
Zidane's Final Fantasy IX Play Arts Shin action figure costs from $157.00 to $240.00. (approx Php. 9,300.00 to Php. 14,200.00). Glad they made a larger scale action figure of him I almost bought the Formism static figure. I gonna buy this, not pre-order. I really like FFIX, one of my top 5 Final Fantasy games. I wish they make Garnet/Dagger, Vivi and Steiner... heck, I wish SQEX will make all of them just like they did in Bring Arts!
