After our lunch at Tyvo Cafe. We went to Pinto Art Museum which is conveniently located near the restaurant. There are lots to see here that's why it's a separate post.
This is part of our Mother's Day Antipolo Rizal Trip.
The place looks small when you view it from the outside. I didn't even notice the sign that this is the Pinto Art Museum. Anyway, the entrance fee is 250 (standard), 200 (Senior/PWD), 150 (Students with school ID), children below 3 years old are free.
Upon entering, we were given a map. The map shows that this place is huge with lots of art pieces. There are also plaques like these (see image above).
We looked around and saw these white buildings. They remind me of the Spanish-era buildings.
The place makes me feel like I'm in a different country.
Some buildings have a second story. We didn't check out the upper area of the buildings because it's so hot outside.
While walking to the little chapel, I saw this huge arm sculpture with its hand holding a papercraft that we make during our childhood to play conditional games.
This is the little chapel. It's small and there are some people inside praying.
Past the little chapel is a restaurant. The food here looks delicious but we already ate our lunch.
The restaurant have a bust of our national hero, Jose Rizal.
This is what the restaurant looks like from the outside. Many people are eating inside because it's still around lunchtime.
You can also eat under the trees outside the restaurant.
This is one of the arcs that we saw here. This one have a large stairs that leads to the lower areas of the museum.
That huge structure out there is the Pinto Academy for the Arts and Sciences for Healing and Wholeness. Now that's a long title. This one have a lot of cool stuff so check out.
You can read the plaque detailing about the place here.
This view looks similar to Mexico.
There are so many branching paths here. I don't know where some of those paths lead. I don't want to end up in a dead end so I didn't stray too far in this place.
There are so many ancient items and artifacts here. It shows that the Philippines have lots of tribes and clans before the arrival of the Spaniards.
Here's the auditorium. They are playing something on a small TV screen. No one is watching the video right now because the people are busy eating. I think students watch this when they're on a field trip here. There's a stage there too with some paintings. The guard said that we can go up there and check out what's behind the stage.
We checked out what's behind the stage and we saw these.
These are ancient wood carvings. They kinda crept me out and this place have a heavy ambiance. After checking this place out. We saw some old clay pots and stones displayed at the nearby building.
The Pinto Art Museum have 7 art galleries. This is the first one.
There are so many paintings here from small to very huge.
Some of the paintings here depicts modern Filipino lifestyle and culture.
The next gallery shows some art that uses different objects. Like this Volkswagen Beetle with a cutout paintings of a woman on top and the driver.
More traditional and contemporary paintings are displayed here. To be honest, some paintings here really gives me the creeps and can't stand looking on some of them. Sometimes I don't understand the minds of those who made these pieces.
This is a nice art piece. It looks like the Cologne Roman Catholic Cathedral. It's black and the top part of the twin spires are painted orange.
"We are the kids that your parents warned you about" sign behind a total-wrecked Ducati. If you look closely at the Ducati bike there's a "wire-frame"-like silhouette of a dude getting thrown off over the handlebars.
A random Batman art piece with a message for Harley Quinn. Harley is going to steal this because of that message.
That's a pretty cool-looking wheel chair with roof.
We've viewed a lot of paintings, sculptures and other art pieces. So it's time go up, but wow... we are not gonna use that huge stairs. This is a shortcut to the top area of the museum but this will make our knees sore. My mother's knee were aching so we took the long route with lots of places to rest.
Here's the exit of the museum. It located just beside the entrance. No wonder why the museum looks small from the outside.
We enjoyed our stay here but we other places to visit so have to say goodbye to the museum and head to our next stop, the Antipolo Cathedral.
Cheers!
