The Top 10 Play Arts Kai Action Figures In My Collection

I've been planning to make a top 10 list for a long time, now here it is! These are the top 10 Play Arts Kai action figures in my collection.

Yes, I'm ranking 10 PAK figures in my collection. But don't worry I will make another ranking list including thoses PAK figures that I still don't have. Note that these are based on my opinion and reviews of the figures in the list. Now let's start

This is how I rank the action figures:
- Number of accessories and variety
- Accuracy to the source material
- Fun factor
- How they look

Riku, at least his Deluxe (DX) version made it to top 10. I rank DX versions lower because they have a standard version that have fewer accessories. The DX version have a total of three Keyblades (one of them is a broken version of Way to Dawn Keyblade), for interchangeables he got two faceplates and a total of four extra hands. The figure looks really good and accurate to the in-game version of Riku.

If you want 2B, better get the DX version because it is loaded with accessories. You can make 2B loose the lower half of her clothes and she came with two swords, her Pod 042 and lots of mounting accessories and interchangeables. The figure looks really good too. I got the questionable bootleg version that looks really close to the authentic version. Still I recomend both authentic or bootleg (if you want to go cheaper) 2B PAK figures.

Vincent from FFVII is my favorite character in the game, he's so cool that he got his own game, that plays okay (yes it kinda sucks but it got its charm). He's here in top 7 because he looks really good. His number of accessories is few but the fact that the parts of his two guns are interchangeable to each other (this reminds me of the gun customization in the game) adds fun to this figure. His poseability is good but his heavy cape makes it difficult for him to stand properly especially when posed dynamically.

This is the only Batman: Arkham Knight PAK figure that I got because I like Harley Quinn. This PAK figure of hers are based on the concept art of the character, not the in-game model. She have lots of fun accessory variety and interchangeables, that makes her really fin to pose. This figure looks good too.

Sora made it to top 6 because he came with three different Keyblades for a very cheap price. And those Keyblades looks really good, the downside is one of them is pretty heavy. He looks really good and accurate to the in-game version. He is fun to pose and play too. Sora's color scheme (red, white and black) is a plus for me.

Kainé's PAK action figre made in the list because she looks great, her design is really nice and her color scheme is a nice contrast to my PAK collection full of dark-clothed characters. She really accurate to her in-game counterpart, she got nice set of accessories and interchangeables, including Grimoire Weiss that can open and close. And thanks to her slim figure, she's fun to pose, but you'll need to use a display stand for more dynamic poses.

Now we're getting on the best figures in my collection. Raiden not only looks cool and his game is a memefest and it's great gameplaywise. His cyborg ninja design is awesome and this PAK figure have lots of accessories. He got his HF blade and nice selection of knives. His sword and knife sheath is articlated and can be posed on his back or his side. His interchangeables include a pair of gripping feet for sword kicking attacks. This figure is on a heavier side so a display stand is needed for some of his poses.

Like Raiden, Lara Croft have nice set of weapons, like her bow (with arrows and quiver), a pistol and two climbing axes. I'm thinking this Lara Croft figure, which looks good, is based on her concept art not the in-game model. Because of her accessory variety and articulation, she is fun to pose. She can also fit well with some PAK action figures, you can put her beside the FFXV and FFVII PAK figures.

We got another Harley on the list. This "Nurse" Harley Quinn is designed by Tetsuya Nomura. She is high on this list because of her "Transforming" gimmick. It's just a set of cool interchangeable accessories making her tranform into another figure which is an armored "Attack" mode Harley Quinn. For weapons she also have a massive syringe (that also serves as a huge mauling weapon when she's on Nurse mode) and a sub-machine gun. This Harley figure is really poseable in both Nurse and Attack forms.

Special Mentions

He made it somehow, because he got dual pistols and an assault rifle that have a knife attached on it. he looks good and he's really poseable. The downside of this figure is that it's on the small to medium side. This Leon PAK figure was released while SQEX is on transition in making larger PAK figures again.

Like Leon, Deunan have weapons, like a handgun, assault rifle and a knife that can be stored on the sheath on her boot. This figure looks really good too and I had fun posing her in action poses. I only have Deunan but it woul be nice if I also got her partner, Brieareos.

This version of Batman looks really cool. Tetsuya Nomura designed this figure and it reminds me of the Beyond suit and the Hellbat suit. The noticable part of this figure is the enormous articuated wings with extra arms (also articulated). This figure only have interchageable accessories, no handheld weapons, like Batarangs and other Bat gadgets. He's bulky and heavy so posing is a little limited, but he still looks good when doing an action pose.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now for number 1. This Advent Children version of Cloud ranks 1st because it's a bang for your buck action figure. It's cheap (at the time and before SQEX ramps up the PAK prices) and have lots of accessories. He got all the parts of his Fusion Sword. He have soft goods, like his wired skirt mantle on his left leg side and he got the sheath to keep his swords on his back. He's fun to play and pose too. If you want to go for the extra mile, get the one with is Fenrir motorcycle that includes additional accessories too. That version is expensive but you get all the awesome additional stuff.

That's it for my top 10. What's your top 10 Play Arts Kai action figures. You can share them in the comments section below.

Cheers and Happy Collecting!
