Her face is accurate to her in-game counterpart. The default face have a simple smile. No problems on its paint and sculpt.
Panther's long twin tailed blonde hair looks really nice and the details are nicely sculpted.
Panther is wearing a really glossy red skintight suit or catsuit to make it short. She represents the female cat burglar and she looks inspired by DC's Catwoman or that old manga/anime Cat's Eye that stars 3 female art thieves. Anyway, the suit looks good and smooth. Its silver zippers are painted really well.
The zippers continue to the back. There are no other details here except for the peg hole for the display stand and Panther's tail.
The arms looks good and have some wrinkles and seams for detail. The gloves stands out with the rest of Panther's suit because of its neon pink color. The gloves have floating pieces so when swapping hands be careful not to loose these glove parts.
Panther is wearing a very long heeled boots. They're also smooth, glossy and have some few details like wrinkles and seams.
The tail doesn't have any texture or patterns and it's made of hard plastic. It got an ugly, uneven cut for articulation.
Panther have a lot of stuff. She have 3 equipment. For interchangeable accessories, she got two extra face sculpts, she also have her mask and she got a total of 8 extra hands.
|
Panther's loot |
She got a pretty nice accessory variety and having that huge paper fan is a nice plus.
|
Whip (un-assembled) |
Panther's whip come in three parts and have different sized pegs so that you can't put them in wrong order.
|
Whip (assembled) |
This is what the whip looks like when all parts are connected. It looks good and really long and felt really fragile (especially those tiny pegs) when assembled.
|
Skorpion |
Panther prefers machine pistols. I'm not a gun expert but this gun looks like a Skorpion machine pistol. It looks really good and have really nice details too bad its stock is not extendable. It's mostly black and the grip is painted brown.
|
Harisen |
This is a harisen, it's a huge paper fan used for jokes/gags in Japan. The Phantom Thieves use this to remove status ailments on their party members. This harisen is just white, I wish the handle is painted red.
|
Angry and winky face. |
Panther's extra faces looks really nice and both of them are looking to the left side. She got an angry/aggressive face and a winking smiling face.
|
Panther's mask |
The mask looks simple and nice. The eyeholes have silver paint on its rims and it got some extra locks from Panther's bangs. The mask is kinda warped on the left side though but it can be fixed by heating it up a bit and reshaping it.
|
Extra hands |
She got a total of 8 extra hands and they're really useful. She got a pair of peace sign hands, pair of fists and a pair of gripping hands for the whip. She also got a trigger hand and a gun holding/resting hand for the gun.
|
Figma stand |
The Figma stand is useful for a Phantom Thief like Panther. Use this if you want to pose her in many ways like jumping attacks and some cool whipping action poses. The provided extra stand extension is shorter than Joker's.
ARTICULATIONS
|
Suggesting a way to break in a Palace. |
Just by looking at this Panther figure, I can tell that it's really articulated because of its slim body and its wearing a skintight catsuit so almost nothing can impede this figure's articulations.
|
Cute double peace pose. |
The head can look around really well. It can look left and right, tilt side to side for a little bit of attitude and can look up and down really well.
|
"Who's got status ailments?" |
The twin tails are articulated. They got a ball-peg and ball-hinge combo joint that makes the twin tails move really well.
|
She's not afraid to use her gun. |
Both arms got great range of movement. They can fully rotate and raise sideways really well. No bicep swivel but they can swivel on the shoulder and elbow joints.
|
Whip cracking. |
The elbows have a nice bend that's more than 90 degrees. The hands doesn't have any movement problems.
|
One of Panther's promo pose. |
The chest can turn move forward and back nicely. Side to side movement is really good and it can tilt well too, no problems here. No waist articulation
|
Crouching for a better aim. |
The legs can raise forward really high and they have a nice range moving backward. Panther can almost do the splits and can pull really high kicks.
|
Twirling her whip. |
You can also pull down these legs so that they will have more room for movement.
|
Dodge shooting |
The legs can also swivel on the joints and they also have thigh joints that the long boots hides. The knees are single hinged and have a good enough bend. The calves can swivel using these joints.
|
Whipping foes from above. |
Yes, the tail is articulated. It got a ball hinge the connects on the body and the tip can swivel.
|
"Prepare for some whipping!" |
The feet have nice movement range. They can point up a bit and down a bit more. They can also turn side to side and have a nice pivot.
SCALING
Time to see how tall or short this Figma Panther figure compared to my other Persona 5 figure.
|
Panther and Joker |
Panther is shorter than
Joker (P5). That's a really good size comparison. I case if you're wondering, I also compared Panther to
D.Va (Overwatch). Panther is taller than D.Va.
QUALITY ISSUES
This Panther figure that I got is almost perfect. No paint problems, no broken/missing parts. My only gripe is her mask that's kinda warped on the left side. Even though you might get a nice Panther figure, be careful not to break the whip's pegs.
CONCLUSION
Yeah, this Panther Figma figure is super good. It looks nice and sexy. It's really articulated thanks to its slim body. I had fun posing this figure. She got lots of accessories and have decent number of equipment. I recommend that you get this figure even though you're not a fan of Persona 5, because this is a really good cat burglar-type character and a really good figure to look at too. Now I got two Phantom Thieves (three if you count Joker's Morgana accessory) in my collection. Time to get the rest of 'em.

*WHACK!* |
This concludes Randomly Random's Persona 5 month. Sorry if I reviewed few Persona toys this month but don't worry, I'm planning to review the rest of the Persona 5 Figma figures (and more... I hope).
Cheers and Happy Collecting!
