Year 2024 is about to end, what a year! So what happened this year in this blog?
2024 RECAP
2024 is a really busy year for me. A lot of stuff happened. Most are real life stuff but we didn't travel a lot this year. Also I became a bit more busy in YouTube. I've been posting mostly Nikke gameplay videos.
Me and my wife went to this year's ToyCon which is great because this is the first time after the pandemic that we went to this convention.
I also bought a Galaxy Tab A9+ to make my productivity a little more flexible and using it is great. It really helps me to be more productive because it's portable. It's a budget tablet but it gets the job done in my opinion. If I have more cash I'll probably get an Tab S9+ or Tab S9 Ultra but the Tab A9+ shall suffice and will be my daily tab driver until it gives up or got outdated.
My wife got pregnant later this year and we are so happy that we're going to be parents. I can't wait to meet our little one next year. We already know the gender of our baby but I'm not sharing it here and we don't plan to have a gender reveal party because we're earning money for the future of our baby.
I played drums again live on stage after more than a decade. I performed for our Christmas party. While I'm not at my 100% with lack of practice and I'm sick at the time, it was still a blast playing drums live even though I botched up my performance.
My Play Arts Kai action figure collection grew a bit this year and I thought I would not able to buy any. Thankfully, my wife is supporting my hobby... but just a bit LOL!
2024 BLOG RECAP
As expected, there are fewer toy reviews this year. I only reviewed a total of 4 toys. Three of them are Play Arts Kai action figures and they are Tifa Mature Dress, Kainé and Barret ver. 2. I reviewed a static figure and that's Alice from Nikke: Goddess of Victory. This is a bootleg figure, most likely a painted garage kit that is made really well for a small price. I also have a new toy here that I'm currently reviewing. It's not an action or static figure. It's a vehicle model. It's a really great toy with lots of fun features so it's taking a lot of time to inspect and review that's why its review will probably come out next year because I also want to add a video part for this toy to showcase what it can do.
I only posted a total of 5 posts in PHOTOGRAPHY+TRAVEL and two of them are backlogs from 2023.
The category that have the most posts this year is the FOOD category with a total of 8 posts. We must be really hungry this year LOL.
This year there are more posts than last year with a total of 53 (including this post) versus 35 posts in 2023. Yep, that tablet came in handy.
WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN IN 2025?
Just like this year, I think 2025 is going to be great. We can't wait to see our baby next year. We will probably do a little revenge travel with our little one next year. I'm also planning to buy a new smartphone because my Galaxy S21 Ultra is showing signs that it needs to be replaced. I'll probably get an S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra. For toy reviews, I think it will be fewer this time because we're earning money for our baby, house maintenance and I'm focusing my toy funds for the new Play Arts Shin figures. There will be some cheaper toys in between, but I'm not promising anything.
So that's about it for this year's recap. Time to say goodbye to 2024 and greet 2025. See you next year!
