We just got home from work and we're hungry so we went outside to find some local street food. There are so many street food to choose from and the photos uploaded in this post are the ones we bought to eat as dinner and snack.
These are like cheese cakes but it's really a double stacked hotcakes with cheese as filling.
They taste really good, a little bit heavy because the hotcakes are thick.
Next is bopis and "barbecue". They're deep fried, easy to chew and very tasty. Even tastier if you dip them on spicy vinegar.
Fishballs are Philippine's most common street food. But fishballs is just part of the selection. Along fishballs, there are chickenballs, squidballs and kikiam. They taste really good especially if you dip them with sweet sauce, sweet chili sauce and spicy vinegar.
These food balls are deep fried.
Lastly we got another deep fried street food. These are also called chickenballs but they're different from the fishball-types. And the other is breaded isaw. Isaw is chicken belly that is deep fried. They're also tasty especially when dipped in vinegar.
These street foods are really common here in the Philippines. There are more like balut (duck embryo) and kwekkwek (coated quail eggs). If you're from overseas and planning to visit Philippines, you must try the local street foods.
Cheers!
