It seems that Square-Enix is making more deluxe editions (DX editions) of their Play Arts Kai action figures. The trend starts with NieR: Automata's 2B and now 9S is also getting that sweet DX treatment.
I've already talked about the standard version of 9S. This DX version is obviously a better version. I mean look, even 9S lost his lower clothing... no shorts!
If you have more money, you can just ignore the standard version and get this DX version instead. I really don't like this practice because SQEX can just go and release a weapons and accessories pack for these action figures
He got so many interchangeable accessories. You can turn him into a Logic Virus-infected enemy.
9S got so many stuff, even more than 2B! I think he's more expensive than 2B (DX version). He got two swords and he also got an Attack Pod. For interchangeable accessories, he got three faces (or heads?), short-less legs and a total of six hands. He got a hacking effect and ring effects for the mounted swords. Other accessories are all mounting parts for the weapons and Pod. By the way, he might also have a self-destruct cube.
Now for the price, the Play Arts Kai 9S DX version's price is $209.99 (approx. Php.10,170) and can be 10% cheaper depending on the stores. Yup he's more expensive than DX 2B because he got more stuff. I will get this version but I don't know if I should pre-order it or buy it later after release. This 9S DX figure is highly recommended if you have more money. The release date of this figure is around May 2021.
Cheers and Happy Collecting!
