Square-Enix revealed a new Play Arts Kai action figure of Zack Fair for the upcoming Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, the remake of the Crisis Core game released on the PlayStation Portable.
This is the 2nd Play Arts Kai action figure of Zack. The first one is from the original Crisis Core game. Because this is his 2nd PAK figure, Square-Enix decided to give him his younger and more naïve SOLDER 2nd Class look, which is a good choice, but it will be much better and will rake more cash for SQEX if they give him the 1st Class uniform with an interchangeable mature Zack headsculpt and a Buster Sword. Oh, an additional standard SOLDIER helmet headsculpt would be nice to have too. Probably they will do this if they're going to make a DX (Deluxe) version of Zack PAK.
This figure looks like the older version when it comes to looks. What's different is the new joints on the elbows and probably the shoulders.
I'm very sure that his is going to be a highly poseable action figure, I know because I already have two SOLDIER boys in my collection (Zack and Cloud). But I still don't like the new double-hinged elbow joints. They look weird when fully bent.
This version of Zack still haven't inherited the Buster Sword so he got his SOLDIER standard issue sword with an extra pegged blade so that it can be mounted on Zack's back. This figure also got a peg stud and a total of seven extra hands. It would be nice if this figure got some effect parts, especially lightning effects.
The Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Play Arts Kai action figure of Zack costs around $154.00 (approx. Php.8,800.00). Prices depends on the store. Its release date is around January 2023. While I don't agree with the price and lack of accessories, I still want to get this figure ASAP, because I like Zack, he's a really good character.
Cheers and Happy Collecting!
MORE ZACK!
