My Works from 2014 to 2015

It's almost 2016 so it's time to take a look back at stuff that I made for the year 2015... and 2014! Why I included 2014? It's because I didn't post an entry about my finished works in 2014. Reason is that the year 2014 is a slow year for me, same goes with this year. My creative slump starts to fade in the last few months of 2015. Now and without any further ado, let's check out my finished stuff!

I added some P.T. (Silent Hills) inspired lettering. I can't help it LOL!

Got some photos to show today, unfortunately few of them survived the freak deletion accident. They are not edited, just shrunk the photos to make them internet-friendly. That intro photo up there is a hint on what is (probably) my next Play Arts Kai figure review.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai Figures

I knew it! Well, this is bound to happen anyway. I would be weird if SQEX decided not to make these Final Fantasy VII Remake Play Arts Kai action figures, right?

The Possibility of Final Fantasy VII Play Arts Kai Action Figures

Final Fantasy VII finally got its long awaited remake so yep, this game have a very high chance of having a Play Arts Kai action figure line-up. By the way, I posted a blog on HCF about my hype/impressions and few concerns about the FFVII remake.

[Toy Review] Catwoman Nomura Version Variant Play Arts Kai

Catwoman is back as a new Variant Play Arts Kai this time. What, still no Arkham Knight version or a standard Variant version with a design that fits in with the rest of DC Variants? Tetsuya Nomura designed this Catwoman instead of Hitoshi Kondo. I'm pretty excited about this one because this PAK looks like it's a limited edition toy, and you guys probably know already that I like cats, so I bought it without hesitation. This is also my first Variant Play Arts Kai figure in my collection.

[Toy News] NYCC 2015: New BvS:DOJ Wonder Woman and Armored Batman Play Arts Kai Prototypes

Someone said to me that there are new Play Arts Kai prototypes displayed at New York Comic Con 2015, so I quickly turned on my laptop and searched for new PAKs at SQEX's booth at NYCC 2015. To my pleasant and joyful surprise, it's Wonder Woman and the armored version of Batman from the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie!

[Toy News] Tokyo Game Show 2015 Play Arts Kai Action Figures

Wow, lots of games to look forward too! I'm excited for Persona 5 and Resident Evil 0. I guess it's time to earn cash for a new PlayStation 4 console. I'm not here to talk about video games, well probably I will discuss some, but mainly I will be talking about the Play Arts Kai figures on display in SQEX's booth during TGS 2015.

[Toy Review] Harley Quinn Batman: Arkham Knight Play Arts Kai

This is the third Play Arts Kai figure of Harley Quinn from the Batman Arkham series of games. This new Harley PAK version is from the 4th video game Batman: Arkham Knight. While the two old Harley versions are great PAK figs, I didn't pick them up because of the new PAK standard larger scaling. Now this is the time to pick a new Harley Quinn PAK, so I did (pre-ordered it actually) and this new Harley action figure looks promising and it's cheaper than I expected.

Upcoming Movies That I'm Excited About

Let's talk about movies. While I'm not a movie buff, there are lots of movies that are coming that I'm really excited about and can't wait to watch. [UPDATE] Unforseen Hiatus

Hey guys! Sorry for the sudden hiatus. The first 3 weeks of August is really a busy month for me at work. It really drained my energy and some of my brain cells. So I took a one week break from all the stress and stayed at home to chill and sometimes go out to skate. And uumm, yes, I have a few updates.

[Toy News] Play Arts Kai Prototypes at San Diego Comic Con 2015 (Part 1: Variant Figures)

Sorry for being late for posting this news about San Diego Comic Con 2015. Why? Well, because... life. Anyways, I'll be focusing as always on Play Arts Kai figures and anything that is connected to this toy line. Let me tell you that they're many and awesome so I will post these in three parts.

[Toy Review] Serah Farron FFXIII Play Arts Kai

It's not complete if Lightning is just standing on my display area without her dear sibling so I bought this elusive Play Arts Kai action figure of Serah, Lightning's younger sister. Why do female PAK characters difficult to acquire? This is the non-combatant FFXIII version, not XIII-2. I bought this toy out of curiosity design-wise and build-wise, and yes, this action figure is cute, it's rare and got pink hair (I like hot chics with pink hair).

An Epic E3 2015 and Potential New Play Arts Kai Figures

This is the most awesome E3 of the century. Why? Because lots of titles that I and most people like is having a long awaited sequel/remake. Doom 4 is a good example. Doom is my first PC game in Windows 95. That was like 20 years ago... Wow. Another great example is the full HD remake of Final Fantasy 7... finally! With these games (old and new) are now announced and in development, there's a chance that they will have a Play Arts Kai treatment too.

[Toy Review] Barret Wallace FFVII:AC Play Arts Kai

We got a foul-mouthed and loud meat here waiting for a review. Guy's name is Barret Wallace from the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie. I'm pretty excited to get this big guy because this is the very first Barret Play Arts Kai action figure. Looks like SQEX is really aiming on completing the casts in PAK form. That's really awesome for fans and somehow very risky in business standpoint. So is this action figure of Barret really worth your money? Pssst, he's REALLY cheap.

[Art Related] New Artwork After a Year!

It's been a long time since I uploaded an artwork in my deviantART page. The stress in my work and other projects and commitments forces me to draw again. I'm glad that I made a great artwork (IMHO) and relieved me from a lot of stress. Want to see my new art (first in 2015), well read more! :D

[Toy Review] Cloud Strife FFVII:AC Play Arts Kai

Heeey! It's a Play Arts Kai action figure of Square-Enix's cover boy, Cloud Strife from FFVII: Advent Children! Should I give a bit of the game, the movie and Cloud story? Nah, most of you guys know him already, he's like the Mario of Final Fantasy. Now, I don't want to race to get this or get left out because the stores ran out of stock, so I earned and prepared an extra cash and pre-orded this toy, and it's my very first pre-order. I just hope that there are less or no factory damage or any other issues on this awesome and surprisingly cheaper toy than Tifa.

Video Reviews, Should I Do It?

A friend found out that I review mostly stuff from two genres - Video Games and Toys - in my blog and asked me personally if I'm going to make video reviews about toys and video games. Here are my answers.

I've been filming skate videos recently and since I'm having trouble rendering our HD skate video because of my outdated PC, I decided to capture some skate stills and semi edit them except for one still.

Someone Used My Random Fun Image for Their Game

I don't know if I will be honored or annoyed about this. Someone actually used the image of the fusion of  Spongebob Minionpants (a fusion of Spongebob Squarepants and a Despicable Me minion) that I made just for fun. They used the said image for a game for smartphones.

[Toy News] Noctis Play Arts Kai In Color

This is actually old news, but still worth writing about for those who collect Play Arts Kai action figures who still haven't read or heard about this (and this blog). Just as the title suggests, the prototype Noctis action figure is now colored!

[Toy Review] Tifa Lockhart FFVII:AC Play Arts Kai

Another female character playing hard-to-get as a Play Arts Kai! She's a beautiful woman, physically and mentally strong, kind and motherly. She's also the owner of the 7th Heaven bar at Midgar and later at Edge. It's Tifa Lockhart from Final Fintasy VII: Advent Children movie! This toy got out of stock quickly, we all know the reasons why.

[Toy Review] Saltwater Powered Mini Eco-Marathon Toy Car from Shell

Yeah, that's the title, and it's from Shell (the gasoline company) and not "hell". I just saw this on the table and the back of this odd box says "free" written in permanent marker, so I opened it and well, here it is... a little toy car that is eco-friendly because it is powered by saltwater.

Note: For this review, I used my smartphone with 8MP camera to take photos of this toy.
