Celebrating My Birthday at Manam

Now it's time to celebrate my birthday, so we went to Manam, a Filipino restaurant.

There are fewer photos this time because I kinda feel sick that day (fever incoming), I just want to celebrate and eat just with my wife, baby and mother. So anyway, Manam is a Filipino restaurant. One of its branches is located at Ayala Malls By the Bay.

The place is spacious and you can already smell the tasty food when you enter the restaurant. There are some nice selection of dishes in the menu, obviously it's mostly Filipino dishes but with added unique flavor.

We ordered Lumpiang Ubod (Ubod Spring Rolls). It's two spring rolls per order. They tastes like home, it's really good, especially the salty garlic sauce.

I ordered Home Style Pork Sisig. It tastes amazing, really crunchy and pretty plenty for a solo order. So I shared the dish to my family so that they can try it too.

My mother ordered Sinigang. Sinigang is known for its sour flavor, but Manam's sinigang have this mix of sourness and sweetness. I'm guessing they added fruit on the dish. I can't guess what it is but it kinda tastes like watermelon. This sinigang have great taste.

Lastly, we ordered Fried Pancit Palabok. This fried and crunchy palabok have a little bit of presentation. They serve it to you without the sauce first, then when the servers put this dish on the table, they pour it with the tasty sauce and mix it with the noodles. It got some shrimp and squid in there Unfortunately I am allergic to those, but I still tried it and took a small bite. And again this dish is great, the tiny bit allergic reaction itchiness is worth it.

We enjoyed my birthday celebration lunch at Manam. The tastes of every dish feels like you're enjoying your lunch or dinner at home (well because they serve Filipino dishes) but with unique flavor added. The price is pretty reasonable too. I really like the sisig. We'll visit again to try the other food on their menu.

Cheers!
