Final Fantasy VII turned 25 yesterday and Square-Enix had a video presentation. I watched it and it was pretty awesome with new FF7 game announcement and release dates. Merch are also included in the presentation and SQEX revealed three new Play Arts Kai action figures and one of them is Roche, the motorcycle-riding 3rd Class SOLDIER in FF7 Remake.
Roche looks really good. I can't believe they made him as a action figure. I haven't played the game, but finally I can get to know this guy now that the Steam version of FF7 Remake is now available.
He's a 3rd Class SOLDIER, two ranks lower than Zack, Sephiroth and Cloud technically. I see some parts that might limit this figure's articulations, but we'll see once we get this figure.
What's nice about this figure is that they included the SOLDIER helmet. This make it possible to buy multiple Roche figures to make a troop of 3rd Class SOLDIERS. But that can be pricey.
Here's Roche's accessories. It's pretty basic with some nice stuff like the helmet. He comes with the standard issue SOLDIER sword, a separate blade and a total of 8 extra hands. He also have a small stud, probably for mounting the sword to Roche's back and an extra SOLDIER belt.
This Roche Play Arts Kai action figure costs around $135.00 to $190.00 (approx. Php.7,300.00 to Php.10,300.00). The price increased again, I blame inflation. I want to buy this guy but there's a better version of this figure.
